The Football Association and Tesco teamed up last summer to a three
year programme to give youngsters up and down the country the opportunity
to get active and have fun while improving their soccer skills.
The Skills Dome is primarily targeted at children between the ages
of 5 - 11 but those older than that should also find it interesting
and relevent.
Children can sign up at www.thefa.com/skills
to join ‘the greatest club in England’. On registering,
youngsters can watch coaching videos, download skills challenges
and get specialist advice and encouragement.
There are also sections on the site for parents and teachers and
it also includes a Healthy Eating section, which is well worth a
look.
Editor's note: The website is a little tricky to use to begin
with so younger children may need a bit of assistance from mum or
dad (or probably even better, an older sibling!).
