This is our development group and we welcome players from the age of 6 upwards. The younger girls training sessions focus on learning through fun games and challenges. By the age of 8/9 we are looking to challenge the players more and training includes much more skills and the basics of team play. The girls will play occasional friendly matches and tournaments. Once the girls get to the age of 10/11 they will move into a more competitive “mini soccer” league and play regular matches learning to combine the skills they learn in training into a formal and structured match situation.

The emphasis is on fun throughout and participation or all players regardless of ability is key. Our coaches are CRB checked and qualified. We are always looking for new players, but if you find it difficult to make Saturdays, then call about our winter mid-week sessions.

Dynamo Youth Team

For girls, youth soccer begins at the age of U13 when they progress from the small sided version of the game to the 11-a-side format. This is quite a progression for players as they move onto a bigger pitch with larger goals, more players, more rules and longer matches, but under our qualified coaches the transition should be smooth!

Our ethos remains on the players having fun, but without doubt the football matches will become more competitive as the players themselves naturally develop a more competitive streak. This season the girls will be playing in the East Division of the Sussex Woman and Girls Football League against teams including Crawley Wasps, Eastbourne Girls, Maidenbower United and Newhaven Girls.

Adult? Keen to play?

Two seasons ago we tried setting up a ladies team but struggled to get numbers. This is still an ambition of our club and we would love to hear from any ladies who might be interested in playing. We could look at entering a team into Pitch Invasion, a 5-a-side competition held in Brighton every week. Alternatively we could go the whole way and get a ladies team initially playing friendlies then perhaps looking at senior football in the future. Again, let us know your interest by emailing our Club Secretary info@dynamo-gfc.co.uk.
