Manager's view:
This was the last game of the season for our U12 girls, against Eastbourne Borough. With only 7 players and no subs Dynamos determination did not let up. A first half shot by Bex from outside the box took Dynamos to a 0-1 lead, but as so often happens when you have just taken the lead, you are at your most vulnerable, and Eastbourne scored a minute later 1-1.

Second half with the wind to our backs, Eastbourne went into a 2-1 lead. Despite this our girls battled on and determination paid off, when another wonder strike from Charly levelling the score at 2-2. Some very good saves from Gen in goal, the two Abbie's in defence, Bex centre defence, Zoe right wing, Charlie left wing, and Emma playing up front on her own, a very good all round team effort.

As I have said before, this season you girls have gone from strength to strength, and you have a very good team spirit, no longer do your heads go down if you are losing, you keep your heads up, and your team spirit and determination comes through and you fight till the end gaining the results that you deserve. Thankyou girls for all your hard work this season, and what a pleasurable season it has been.

I would also like to say a big thank you to all the parents for their support, my own parents and family, also to Paul Cartwright thankyou for all your help mate and to Joe Walker for refereeing most of our home games.

Dynamo U12's v Patcham United
4th March 2007

Manager's view:
With the U12's not playing a competitive match for a month, Dynamos took on Patcham United for a top of the table clash. A first half that started well when an early corner by Bex was put in the back of the net by a Patcham player. Some excellent football from both teams with Charly and Emma going close and defending by Bex Ellie and Abbie, with just about a minute of the first half remaining Patcham equalised.

Second half Patcham pressurised and went two goals up but with 10 minutes of the match remaining Dynamos produced a fantastic comeback with two goals from Charly and Ellie two minutes apart, made the score 3-3.

Now the weather had gone from bad to worse, but with about a minute of the game remaining, Dynamos were awarded a free kick, from a foul on Charly, which Bex stepped up to take, and with a free kick David Beckham would be proud of, and Patchams goalie getting a hand to it, it went straight into the back of the net.

I have been involved with Dynamos for 2 years now and have not seen a better game played by two evenly matched sides, in appalling conditions. Despite being at one point 3-1 down at no point did our girls heads drop, they remained calm and confident and pulled the game back.

Chairman’s Message:
The Under 12's match against league leaders Patcham was absolutely fantastic. Despite maintaining most of the possession in the first half, it was a surprise to come in at half time with the scores level at 1 a piece. The second half will live long in the memory as Patcham took the lead to 3-1 and I felt our chances of challenging for the title slip away. However the Dynamo girls obviously had other plans. Elle’s goal starting the come back then that wonder strike from Charlie 20 yards out to level the score. You felt that the tide had turned and with minutes on the clock we won a free kick ten yards from the penalty area for Beck’s to deliver a stunning strike that gave us maximum points. I have said it before, and I will say it again – this is a superb team effort with EVERY player contributing. I am so proud of the girls they are an example to everyone at the club with their positive attitude coupled with solid basic skills and a work ethic that a Premiership team would be proud of. I’m looking forward to the next exciting match!

Marle Place Wanderers v Dynamo U12's
4th February 2007

Manager's view:
What a superb game! The pitch condition was terrible, basically a mud surface with a small amount of grass, but the girls were up for the match given the amount of time since the last match and their position in the league. The first half was a tense affair. Dynamos had at least 60% possession and time after time attacked the Marle Place goal, but were unable to finish off any of the created chances. At half time the girls were full of optimism but 5 minutes into the second half Marle Place took the lead against the run of play. It was a surprise and you could tell that they were surprised to!! 5 minutes later we got the goal we deserved as Charly’s skill and determination paid off. 2 minutes later Emma was on the score sheet and with that Marle Place collapsed and Dynamos ended up 5-1 winners with 2 for Charly, 2 for Emma and 1 thunderbolt for Elle.

What I love about this team is that they are full of belief. Even at half time there was no doubt that they would score and really no doubt that they could win. Everyone contributes – the usual high energy and dominance from Elle, the attacking drives from Becks, the skill and tricks from Charlie – but the Player of the Match was Abbie who started on right defence and made crucial tackles and even more crucial passes when required. Girls – you make the club proud!

An 8-2 win over Crawley Wasps saw Dynamos move to the top of the league table.

A positive start by the visitors saw them take an early lead, but it was short lived as Charly scored her first of the day, with a fine solo run. Dynamos then took control of the game and two more goals by Charly and Bex saw Dynamos 3-1 up at half time.

Second half and more good football from Dynamos saw them extend their lead with goals by Charlie, Emma and Bex.

Final score: Dynamos 8 (3) - Crawley Wasps 2 (1)

Seahaven Harriers v Dynamo U12's
26th November 2006

Manager's view:
Captain Elle was the star turn as Dynamo's won 3-2 at Seahaven Harriers.
A hard fought game saw Dynamos take the lead in the first half as Seahaven scored an own goal. But then Seahaven equalised soon after.

Second half and Dynamos again took the lead as Charly scored from a shot just outside the penalty box. Seahaven were now chasing the game, and it was not long before Dynamos conceded a goal to make it 2-2, but with it looking like a draw Emma popped up to score at close range to make it final score 2-3 to Dynamos.

Dynamo U12's v Crawley Wasps (Cup)
19th November 2006

Manager's view:
A hat trick from Charly helped Dynamos ease into the next round of the Cup.

From the kick off Dynamos dominated with some excellent play and it was not long before Charly got her first with a shot inside the penalty area. An Elle throw in caused some confusion in the Crawley penalty box and it went in off a Crawley defender for an own goal.

The pick of the goals was when Charly from the left wing delivered a pin point cross that Emma headed in to the top right corner of the net, and just before half time Charly got her second goal.

Second half and with a comfortable lead, I changed the formation, with Elle and the two Abbies up front. Some more excellent play saw Dynamos extend their lead with a goal by Elle and then Charly getting a well deserved hat trick, when a shot close to the half way line went through the goal keepers legs.

Once again girls, you all played very well, a great team effort, it was a pleasure to watch you play.

Polegate Grasshoppers v Dynamo U12's
12th November 2006

Manager's view:
A very physical match saw Dynamos return to their winning ways and top the league table!

A first half goal from Bex, saw Dynamos take the lead after early pressure from Polegate. A second goal from Charly saw Dynamos leading 0-2 at half time.

Second half Dynamos were playing up hill, but despite this Charly scored her second goal of the match to take the pressure off the girls. Polegate looked defeated, despite this Emma scored two late goals to make the final score Polegate 0 Dynamos 5.

A well deserved win, despite only having seven players, you returned to your winning ways and proved that you are a match for any team. Well done girls, you once again have proved yourselves, I am very proud to be your manager.

Manager's view:
A lacklustre performance from Dynamo U12's saw them draw for the second week running, Dynamos were lucky to go into lead, after an Emma mis-kick found the back of the net. Polegate then dominated the game, and soon equalised with a well taken goal.

Second half and Polegate were playing the much better football, and we had our backs to the wall most of the time, however Charlie and Emma were unlucky to miss a couple of good chances.

Dynamos were awarded a penalty, after Emma was fouled in the penalty area, but the spot kick was missed. A very disappointing performance from the girls, the can perform much better.

Patcham United v Dynamo U12's
29th October 2006

Patcham and Dynamos share the points in a six goal thriller away at Patcham!

Team: Robyn, Emma, Bex, Charly, Zoe, Abbie, Elle and Abbie

Manager's view:
With Patcham at the top of the table at the start of the day, Dynamos had to get some result to keep the pressure on them. First half and Dynamos took an early lead when Charly headed in an Ellie throw in. Patcham equalised 10 minutes later and then went into the lead soon afterwards.

Dynamos were awarded a penalty when a Patcham player handled the ball in the penalty area, but Emma's spot kick was saved, however, a few minutes later Emma redeemed herself when she kicked a Patcham goal kick back into an empty net.

Second half and some more excellent football from both teams. Emma scored her second goal when Patcham's goalkeeper could only block Bex shot that Emma pounced on to put Dynamos into a 3-2 lead. With the clock ticking down and only three minutes to go, a wonder shot from Patcham that Robyn could not save made the final score 3-3.

Dynamo U12's v Marle Place Wanderers
15th October 2006

Team: Robyn, Abbie, Emma, Bex, Gen, Zoe, Charly, Abbie and Elle.

Manager's view:
Another outstanding performance from Dynamos, with Emma and Charly both scoring two goals each. Dynamos turned on the style with some very good passing and movement with great defending from the two Abbies, Gen, Bex and Elle.

Marle place hardly troubled Robyn in goal. A shot from from Charly and a tap in from Emma, saw Dynamos go in 2-0 up a half time.

Second half and again Dynamos played some more excellent football, another shot from Charly and a volley from Emma from Bex's corner saw Dynamos win 4-0. From goalkeeper to attacker the girls played good football all round. Very well done.

We do not have a game this Sunday, so take it easy girls as we have Patcham away on the 29th October.

Lindfield Juniors v Dynamo U12's
8th October 2006

Manager's view:
A brace each from Emma and Charly helped Dynamo's U12 side bounce back to winning ways at Lindfield. With two players out, Dynamos only had 7 players with Lindfield having 14 to choose from.

The hosts had early opportunities to open the scoring, but some excellent goalkeeping by Robyn kept Lindfield at bay. After 10 minutes Charly opened her account from a Lindfield goal kick that she kicked back into a open net, however, Lindfield equalized 5 minutes later with a long range shot that missed everybody in a crowded penalty box. 5 minutes later and Charly got her second, with a copycat goal to her first. Some more good attacking and defending from Dynamos, but just before the break Lindfield equalized from a corner.

Second half and Dynamos started with some early pressure from Charly and Zoe, that paid off, when Emma homed in on a loose ball in Lindfield's penalty area. By now the girls were getting tired and with no subs and Lindfield changing players every 5 minutes Dynamos conceded a penalty that was shot wide. With Dynamos now enjoying a lot more possession it was not long before Dynamos made it safe when Emma tapped in a cross from Charly, but just before the end Lindfield were again awarded a penalty, but Robyn saved it.

Well done girls!

A very entertaining game saw Dynamos unfortunately lose their 100% start to the season although both teams were evenly matched.

Early pressure from Eastbourne but good defending and some great saves from new girl Robyn kept them out. With the strong winds in Dynamos backs, Elle broke the deadlock with a cross shot that found the back of the net. As the first half moved on with end to end play Eastbourne equalized just before the break.

Second half and some more excellent football from both teams, with both Emma and Charly coming close with shots at goal. After 15 mins Eastbourne scored with a long range shoot, but a minute later Charly equalized when she pounced on a loose ball.

With more pulsating football from both teams Eastbourne scored again but a minute later Charly again equalized, but the very last kick of the game saw Eastbourne get the winner from another long shot. This has got to be one of the most exciting and evenly matched games I have seen you play, lovely football, well done girls.

Manager's view:
Goals in both halves insured Dynamo keep their 100% record to the start of the season, against local rivals Seahaven.

Dynamos outplayed Seahaven in the first half with many shots on goal. 20 minutes into the game Dynamos took the lead when Emma collected a loose ball. Second half and Seahaven came out a lot stronger but brilliant defending and excellent saves from Gen kept them out. A thunderbolt from Bex 15 minutes into the second half saw Dynamos extend the lead to 2-0.

This game was a pleasure to watch, great teamwork all round. Well done girls.

Manager's view:
A hat trick by Charly and one from Rebecca gave the Under 12 team a flying start to the season.

From the start Dynamos dominated the game, with some excellent movement and passing, despite Crawley taking the lead in the first 15 minutes. Charly levelled the score 5 minutes later, making it 1-1 at half time. The second half bought three more goals, 2 more from Charly, and one from Becx, Charlie was unlucky to miss a penalty, but overall, all girls played an excellent game.

How well these girls have come on in the past two seasons, give yourselves a pat on the back.

Player of the match: My player of the match has to be captain courageous Ellie, for a 100% commitment and a brilliant goal line clearance, when the score line was 2-1.
