Felpham Colts Tournament
Sunday 6th June 2010
Wow, what a fantastic tournament the U12 girls had this weekend
at Felpham (Bognor Regis).
Winning the first game 8-0 set the tone for the day and to
be fair it was only Denmead Girls B that provided the girls
with real competition, drawing 0-0 in the first game and losing
1-0 in the second. However, 4 victories was enough for the
girls to secure a place in the final.
The football throughout the day had been fantastic with superb
passing, excellent shooting and confident defending, but the
final was just the best game of all. Early in the first half
we took the lead with a superb strike from Amy, but straight
from the kick off Denmead levelled when their no 11 shot went
in off one of our players. However, the team weren’t
daunted and Katie scored to give us the lead again. Unfortunately
Denmead again levelled and the ref signalled for extra time.
Amy again gave us the lead, and this time the Dynamo’s
weren’t going to throw it away. Katie scored her second
of the game soon after and that was enough to seal the win
and a second tournament victory in two seasons.
All the girls contributed and this was a genuine team effort.
We had the bare six players, so with no subs and a hot day
to deal with the girls really performed out of their skins.
It’s unfair to single out anyone player so each player
gets 11/10 and a review!
Alex was great in goal and made some cracking saves when
called upon. Lucy played well in both defence and midfield
and scored two cracking left footed goals. Amy was a rock
throughout but saved her best until the final and in total
scored 5 goals. Katie was our top scorer with an amazing 12
goals and played on even though she took a nasty knock towards
the end of the competition. Elle was amazingly creative and
put together some wonderful skills and scored 8 goals. Chloe
worked extremely hard in all areas of the pitch with great
skills and 6 goals.
Well done girls, an absolute pleasure supporting you today!

Adur Athletic v Dynamo Girls
11th October 2009
Squad: Katie, Chloe J, Abbie, Ellie F, Ellie
O, Chloe E, Nia, Amy
Our second league match of the season against Adur was our
first visit to Buckingham Park and despite the breeze the
rain held off for the most part.
The girls got into the swing of things early on with some
good attacking runs from Chloe E & Chloe J getting into
some good goal scoring positions, however some strong defending
& excellent goalkeeping by Adur prevented Dynamos from
getting on the score sheet. However after 20 mins, a strong
run from Amy bringing the ball from her own half enabled her
to set up Chloe J with her first and well deserved goal for
Dynamos. Further attacking play from the midfield of Abbie
& Ellie O created more chances but again the Adur defence
stood firm. Perhaps slightly against the run of play a well
executed counterattack by Adur saw them get an equaliser.
Dynamos pushed forward again & Katie scored her first
goal of the match just before half time.
The second half saw a change of Goalkeeper with Nia taking
her turn between the sticks & Ellie F coming on to the
pitch. Dynamo were quickly back onto the attack & Katie
scored her second goal after 5 mins which was followed quickly
by goals from Chloe E & Ellie F. Adur than came back into
the game & Nia was called into action a few times as some
of the girls seem to forget their defensive responsibilities
& Adur were unlucky not to add another goal or two. Into
the final third of the game there were more chances for Abbie
& Chloe J but it was Chloe E & Ellie F who added a
goal each.
I think the game was tighter than the final score suggests
& Adur should be proud of the way they battled until the
final whistle and for Dynamo, overall it was a good performance
from the girls but there were plenty of reminders that they
need to be prepared to defend at all times & not just
focus on scoring goals.

Dynamo Girls v Oakwood Girls - League
Challenge Cup
4th October 2009
Squad: Abbie, Alex, Amy, Celeste, Chloe,
Chloe, Ellie, Ellie, Katie, Nia, Tegan.
The first round of the u12 Challenge cup saw Dynamo welcome
Oakwood Girls who play their league games in the West division
of our league. With both teams having very similar records
in their respective divisions a tight match was on the cards.
The first 15 mins saw both teams settling down with possession
changing many times with very little between the two teams.
Ellie F & Chloe J both had good chances but were unable
to make a breakthrough, Oakwood also had some good chances
requiring Ellie O & Tegan to defend well & Katie make
some good saves. As the first half wore on Amy & Chloe
E can close but the half ended 0-0.
Celeste went in goal for the second half & was called
into action early on making a couple of important stops. In
the middle of the half Abbie & Nia were starting to make
their mark in midfield with some good distribution from Abbie
and forward runs from Nia. Dynamo continued to pass the ball
round & eventually scored following some great passing
& a clinical finish from Chloe E. Having 4 subs enabled
us to give players a rest during this hectic game, but some
resolute defending from Alex, Tegan, Nia &
Ellie O at different times during the game enabled the girls
to run winners 1-0 & into the next round against another
team from Oakwood’s division Worthing Town.
Credit goes to all the girls on both teams in what was a
very evenly contested match but congratulations to Dynamos
on their win.

Eastbourne Girls v Dynamo Girls
26th September 2009
Squad: Katie, Chloe J, Abbie, Ellie O, Chloe
E, Alex, Nia, Tegan, Amy
A lovely sunny morning a great game of entertaining football.
It took the girls a bit of time to get going today & blow
the sleepover cobwebs away, but some early attacking football
resulted in some close chances, forcing the Eastbourne keeper
into action. Some good passing moves & dribble meant that
we had plenty of possession but couldn’t convert into
real chances. Eastbourne also had several chances needing
Tegan, Ellie & Katie to be on their guard, on 11 mins
a well structured Eastbourne attack unfortunately resulted
in a cross being deflected off one of our players & pass
Amy to give Eastbourne the lead. Dynamos reacted well &
continued to apply pressure on the Eastbourne goal & did
just about every thing apart from score.
The second half began as the first ended with Dynamos spend
the majority of the game in the Eastbourne half & got
their well deserved equaliser with some excellent work from
the midfield & a good finish from Chloe E. As the girls
pressed for the winning goal, Eastbourne had a couple of breaks
& it needed some good saves from Alex to keep them at
bay, unfortunately Eastbourne managed to score with virtually
the last kick of the game.
It was a great team performance by Dynamo’s with excellent
débuts from Nia & Alex & the other new players
this season Abbie, Ellie O, Chloe J are starting to find their
feet & I don’t think it will be too long before
they find their winning ways again.
