Under 11's Match
Re-arranged |
| |
Unfortunatley the Under 11's match away
at Sovereign Saints has been cancelled this morning following overnight
rain making the pitch waterlogged.
This fixture will be now take place on 27th April 2008 as part
of a "double header", meaning that both home and away
fixtures will be played one after the other on the same day at the
same venue. In this case, we will be playing both games at home.

Saturday Training
Cancelled |
| |
Unfortunately training for all age
groups tomorrow has had to be cancelled as the Playing Fields are
once again waterlogged.
However, the Under 10's Junior Kickers Festival will go ahead as
arranged on Sunday and the Under 11's match against Sovereign Saints
should also hopefully take place. If there are any changes to this
information, your manager will contact you accordingly.

Weekend Round
Up |
| |
With freezing conditions and a race
around the clock to try and get the mini soccer pitch playable,
today was certainly a bit of a test for all those concerned.
The Under 11's pitch had been touch and go ever since the 8am pitch
inspection and all hands were on deck with garden forks, brushes,
sawdust and sand to try and eliminate the couple of boggy areas
on the pitch. However, it was finally decided to use the lower pitch
so off we went to firstly get and then erect the portable goals.
The game itself ended in a 7 - 0 win with lots of the girls getting
their names on the scoresheet.
The Under 15's were up against Predators who had made the long
journey from Bognor Regis and agreed to reduce the playing time
to 35 minutes each way due to the weather conditions. After going
into the half time break 0 - 1 down after a scrambled goal from
the visitors, we thought that maybe this wasn't going to be our
day. We needn't have worried though as shortly after the break,
Beth scored a great goal to bring the sides level. This was followed
by a penalty resulting from a handball in the box, which Paige tucked
away nicely. A further two goals followed from Sharni and another
goal from Beth completed the scoring. Final result 5 - 1 to Dynamos!

Respect the
Referee |
|
WARNING! A shortage of referees could harm our game.
This club calls on all players and spectators to outlaw offensive,
insulting or abusive language and behaviour towards match officials.
No refs, no football … imagine that!
Referees are currently somewhat of an Endangered Species, and here
are some facts which you may not be aware of:
- Referees are volunteers they don’t have to referee
your match
- Abuse is the number one reason for Referees quitting
- What kind of a match do you have without a qualified Referee?
If you want qualified Referees THINK before you open your mouth
and don’t give them a hard time.
DO YOU WANT TO BE A REFEREE?
It’s not all about giving people red and yellow cards. If
you’re interested in being part of the greatest game in the
world, read on! From playing in the park to the World Cup Final,
football needs Referees…
Have you got a passion for football?
Are you 14 years of age or over?
If you answered “yes” to both of these questions –
WE NEED YOU! For further information about becoming a referee, please
contact Ruth Watson at info@dynamo-gfc.co.uk

Weekend Round
Up |
| |
Despite re-arranging this weekend's
fixtures to be played away instead of at home, the weather beat
us again and it was only the Under 11's game that went ahead at
Eastbourne Borough.
However, it seemed that all the planning and re-arranging was worth
while as the girls produced an excellent 4 - 1 win. Well done -
I know the conditions weren't that great, so congratulations on
putting on such a fine performance!

Sunday Fixtures
Re-arranged |
|
To try and avoid any more cancelled
fixtures, we have attempted to get Sunday's games played despite
not beimg able to use he Playing Fields.
Therefore, the Under 11's will now be away against Eastbourne Borough
Youth at Bishop Bell School, Priory Lane, Eastbourne with a 11.00am
kick off.
The Under 15's will also be away to Worthing Minors at St Andrew's
High School, Sackville Road Worthing, also with a 11.00am kick off.
THIS HAS SUBSEQUENTLY BEEN CANCELLED.
If there is heavy rain overnight, we still may not be able to play
the fixture and if this is the case, we will be advised by our opponents
in the morning. If there is any further news in this respect, we
will pass it on to your nominated parent as soon as we possibly
can - please be patient.

Saturday's Training
Cancelled |
| |
Unfortunately with the extreme weather
conditions this week, it is not possible to use the Playing Fields
for training or fixtures this weekend, and there is more rain forecast
for the weekend.
This means that training on Saturday is cancelled and the home
matches will not take place. However, there is a slight possibility
that we may be able to re-schedule the fixtures for the Under 11's
and Under 15's by playing at our opponents ground, and as soon as
we know whether this is possible, we will contact you and put details
up on the website.

Weekend Round
Up |
| |
The Under 13's kicked off with the
early kick-off at home to Eastbourne Borough and finished their
final league game of the season off with a 5 - 3 win - well done
girls, you thoroughly deserve it!
Next up were the Under 15's playing again at home, but on the unfamiliar
top pitch due to pitch congestion on the usual pitch. The visitors
were Patcham United who recently held Seahaven Harriers to a draw
- so we knew that they would be a determined side, and that they
were.... in the first half, they challenged for every ball (and
won) whilst we appeared to be spectators on many occasions. However,
the tables were turned in second half and it became much less of
a one-sided game, but unfortunately it was a little late as most
of the damage had already been done. A tough lesson girls - but
hopefully you will learn from it.
Finally with a 1pm kick-off away at Pevensey & Westham Juniors
(aren't there any other teams in the league - I'm sure we play them
every week!), the Under 11's played valiantly and as their manager
said "it's the best I have ever seem them play". It was
unfortunate that they didn't come away with a draw or a win for
all their hard work and effort, but sometimes that's the way it
is in football girls. You will be rewarded in terms of results if
you continue to be patient and keep up the excellent work.

Weekend Round
Up |
|
We say a fond farewell to the Challenge
Cup this season with our last remaining representatives, the Under
11's, going out of the competition at the semi-final stage with
an exciting and closely contended game against Pevensey & Westham
Juniors. We always knew that this would be a hard game to win after
our two previous league encounters, but all the players were completely
committed and gave every effort, which is all we can ask of you.
Well done girls - you have done the Club proud!
With another free week for the Under 13's, the Under 15's were
the only other team to see action this weekend with an away fixture
at East Grinstead. Despite having more than their fair share of
possession of the ball, Dynamos were a little unfortunate to be
on the end of a 4 - 2 defeat, especially as the home side's last
two goals were against the run of play. Never mind, there's always
next week to turn things around in our favour!
