Your responsibility as a parent at Dynamo GFC

We would like to take this opportunity to remind all parents and supporters of the club that when your child joined, you committed to our Code of Conduct for Parents. Can you please take the time to re-read this document and famliarise yourself with the contents.

It is extremely important then when attending matches you remember that it is your child playing, not you, and that any support or advice will be given to the player by their team coach/manager. Coaching from the sideline by parents and supporters is unacceptable at all times and we ask you to focus your attention to supporting the team as a whole, not just individual players.

U15s retire from Sussex County Women and Girls League

It’s with some regret that we announce our U15s withdrawal from the Sussex Woman & Girls League. Whilst we have had sufficient players registered all season, some players have been unable to attend training and on several occasions we haven’t had enough players to field a team in the matches.

Despite discussions with the league, they were inflexible in terms of re-arranging fixtures and instead we were heavily fined. We still have a number of players keen to play at this age group and to be part of the clubs activities and therefore we will be shortly arranging some 6-a-side events – more details can be found under the U15 team page.

Weather hits another weekend

The torrential downpours of the last month put paid to another weekends football up at Telscombe Cliffs Playing Fields. As you can see from the images there was a couple of inches of surface water laying on both pictures and even though it dried up later in the day, playing on this surface will only cause problems later in the season.

Unless the league has any changes, the U15s won’t be action until the New Year, which gives plenty of time for extra training. For your information, Lewes District Council undertake a pitch inspection on a Friday morning if there has been bad weather during the week, the club will undertake a pitch inspection in the event of bad weather over the weekend.

England & Brighton Trips Cancelled

I is with great regret that we have to announce that the England U21 trip to Wembley has had to be cancelled following the failure of the FA to provide us with enough tickets for our group. We are one of a number of clubs who have lost out on this event.

Furthermore, the planned replacement trip to watch Brighton vs Leeds the following week has also been postponed due to a poor uptake on the event. We will be re-arranging a trip to see Brighton play in the New Year and will also try again to organise a visit to Wembley.

The next club event will be our Annual Christmas Party likely to be the last Saturday before Christmas – bookmark our website as more information will be up soon.

See the England U21s in action!

We are very excited to announce that we have organised a trip to see England U21s v Portugal U21s at Wembley on Saturday November 14th. The trip includes return coach travel to Wembley and the cost is just £5 for members.

Please note we have limited seats so tickets are on offer first to members, then one parent and if there are any left afterwards they will be offered brothers or sisters.

If you want to go, you must return the attached form to your manager at training either this Wednesday or next Saturday. You will then get an email either from Paul Cartwright or Carl the Club Secretary confirming the booking and details of meeting time etc.

This is a fantastic opportunity for you to visit one of the most impressive football stadiums in the world and watch our boys as they battle for qualification in the European finals – so don’t miss out!!!

If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to call Paul on 01273 307270.
