| In
the New Year we are introducing a new initiative whereby we will
be encouraging our own parents & Club personnel to "Keep
it Shut!" along with those of our visitors. We will be holding
a special day (date to be confirmed) to draw attention to this.
This campaign aims to get rid of all forms of physical and verbal
abuse from our pitches and touchlines and to enable our children
and officials to have the right to enjoy their football without
being subjected to unwarranted verbal or physical abuse/interference
from team-mates, parents, coaches, spectators or anyone else for
that matter! The main points of the campaign are identified below.
• Team managers, coaches and substitute players will be asked
to keep within a “technical area” clearly marked out
on once side of the pitch. We ask that you keep to this area for
the duration of match play.
• There will be a second marked out area on the opposite
side of the pitch for parents of both teams. We ask that all parents
stay within this area for the duration of the whole match. The area
will be set back from the pitch to allow the players to play the
match without hindrance.
• During the match no parent or coach should stand outside
of their area, particularly near or behind the goals.
• During the match coaching of players should be avoided
especially by parents. Please allow the players the opportunity
to play their game and learn from their own mistakes.
Other points from our Code of Conduct that we would remind you
of are:
This is a non-smoking ground. If you need to smoke, please do
so either in the car park or in the roadside that runs by the
ground.
Parents should support both teams equally and avoid shouting
for particular players.
Respect MUST be shown at all times for the officials and the
decisions they take – whether or not you agree with them.
Thank you for your support!
