5th Annual Awards Evening 2008

The evening started with Paul Cartwright's special slideshow presentation reminding us all of the 2007/8 season and was followed by his welcome to the proceedings as Club Chairman. Each player in every age group was then presented with their individual player award by their respective Managers. No Club can operate without its army of volunteers and we are no exception, therefore each manager and coach was presented with their own memento from the 2007/8 season. The Special Achievement Awards were then annaounced by Paul Cartwright and presented by Angela Banks. This year, we introduced a new award for the parents to vote for their favourite player of the season. The Special Achievement Award Winners were as follows:
Golden Boot Runner Up: Bethany McKellar (U15's) The final award of the evening was the Angela Banks Award, named after our special guest, and is presented to a player who Paul as Club Coach has seen something special from during the year, either by way of ability, attitude or sheer determination. This year's well-deserved winner was Chloe Evans from the Under 11's. A big thank you to all who made the Awards Evening possible, especially Paul Cartwright, the McKellars, the hard working Committee, all the managers and coaches, Angela Banks and our other special guests, but most of all to YOU, the players and parents who have made this Club what it is today - THANK YOU!

Our
5th Annual Awards Evening took place at Meridian Hall, Meridian
Centre, Peacehaven on Saturday 7th June 2008 where we welcomed special
guests Angela Banks - Honorary President of Dynamo GFC and ex-Arsenal
and England Ladies, the Mayor and Deputy Mayor of Peacehaven and
Dan Lawson, Community Sports Coach from Sussex County Football Association.
